Looks fab!

Hmmm... Jack needs his own website... oi!

So how should artists and authors feel about this new commitment to build an entire new website for each new book?

Interesting question... I guess I ought to reserve the URL for my forthcoming title. One balks at the contemplation of the labor involved! It'd be nice if publishers made them for us... since we don't get paid extra...

Oh wait, I forgot... we're already all rich... and just do this for our amusment basically.

Wonderful Cover. And Jack looks great.
A whole domain to himself eh! Good luck with this and let us know when the site goes live.

This 'new book from dummy' talk makes me feel like getting stuck into some of my own ideas. I'm quite excited at the thought of doing work for me, the way I want it to be, rather than feeling like I just colour in on demand for my living!

Maryann big congrats to you and "Jack"!! I love this kids hair, with the little tuft down in front:)
I think it makes sense to set up a site for the character of your book (hopefully books:) if the publisher is a big enough one. A site could very well make a large difference in "the buzz" as you say and then sales. Schools seem to spend a lot of time on the net searching authors/illustrators and the kids too. If the character has it's own, all the more direct traffic I would think... make sure it still links back to your main site though.
Janee has one for "Ghost" and it's really cute. Activities, print out's etc. Are you tracking it Janee, how is the traffic?
I agree John, it would be wonderful if the publishers would set one up but that will never happen. Which books, all of them? Certainly they do for their big hits.
Maybe "Jack's" site could be a club... like kids, join Jacks club or something like that.
