Popping Out!
Today, I watch the snow fall outside my window, and think of my 21 year old daughter enjoying Spring Break on a yacht in the Keys. Who needs Florida sunshine? I received my Ocean pop-up book in the mail!
Currently being sold in Europe in both Italian and Spanish, here's a peek inside; care to dive in with me?

This is amazing. Well done, and congratulations.
I can tell that so much hard work went into illustrating this book.
I think it will be very attractive to children and they will want to look at it 'every which way' they can.
I will keep an eye out for it in the shops Shennen.
Is it going to Bologna to generate foreign rights?

Thanks June!
This book was a lot of fun to work on! As of now it is being sold by a Spanish publisher in Madrid and an Italian publisher in Milano. It should be at Bologna - it is still being shopped around for more languages!
All very exciting.

Wow! That's one gorgeous looking pop-up book!
Imagine having a great book like that... it's like going scuba diving without getting in the water.
I hope it gets you LOTS of attention.... and I hope some publisher asks to publish one of your own books.
Very exciting!

WOW Shennen, I can't imagine it not getting snatched up and distributed world wide!!! What an amazing book! I can see that every teacher/librarian would want at least two, one on the shelf for reading but one just to hang, open, on the wall! It would be wonderful for a kids wall at home too.
Great work!

Thanks Chris!
I have one displayed in my studio, it's fun to look at all the nooks and crannies.
Funny how you remember things associated with the production of each book - I was sad - I was in Toronto and I had just missed my connector to Vancouver when I checked my emails from my phone, and there was the message telling me I was hired for the book! You are in Canada so I thought of that.
Snowing again in Boston today Chris, lets think tropical ocean weather!
